The natural fruit and vegetable popsicle shop has grandly opened this fall and launched handmade popsicles with natural and innovative flavors._1
At the Yummy Mandarin Popsicles shop located on College Point Boulevard, owner Jason Li is crafting a delightful range of colorful popsicles made entirely from natural ingredients. Officially opened this Labor Day, the shop specializes in handmade, additive-free popsicles that are all locally sourced, fresh, and nutritious. These popsicles present themselves as a rare dessert option that won’t compromise your health.
Jason, the sole proprietor of this unique establishment, has thoughtfully developed each popsicle flavor himself, with no other branches to be found. The shop offers a variety of innovative flavors, many of which are not commonly seen in the market, including lotus root, purple sweet potato, taro, spinach, celery, carrot, black tea, red bean, green bean, watermelon, blueberry, mango, dragon fruit, kiwi, yogurt, and coffee, among others. Each popsicle retails for just $2, but when customers purchase 20 or more, they can enjoy them at a special price of $1.50 each, plus receive two additional popsicles for free.
Jason emphasizes that all popsicles are produced in-house without any unnecessary additives, such as artificial flavors, saccharin, preservatives, or chemicals. He carefully selects fruits and vegetables sourced from local growers and combines them with American-brand milk or powdered milk, sugar, and water. This creates a simple and natural product that consumers can feel good about eating.
Originally from Shandong, Jason has been in the U.S. since 2017, moving around Brooklyn and Queens while developing and selling handmade pasta and icy treats made from fruits and vegetables. His creations are not only visually appealing but also tantalizingly delicious. He cites a health report from the North American World Journal, which highlights that “plant nutrients are found in various colors. The more vibrant colors we consume from fruits and vegetables, the more we benefit from these nutrients, effectively building a protective health net.” In essence, by consuming a balanced amount of colorful fruits and veggies every day, one can significantly combat health issues such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Building on this foundation, Jason’s popsicles are packed with the natural colors and nutrients of the environment, making them a healthy treat.
