The Israeli army has conducted multiple rounds of attacks on Iran, commanded from the Prime Minister’s bunker! Behind the US’s voice, there is a huge amount of information
On October 26, the situation in the Middle East took a dramatic turn as the Israeli military announced they were carrying out precise strikes on Iranian military targets. This escalation follows Iran’s vow to retaliate if severe consequences arise from Israeli actions. The United States confirmed knowledge of the attacks but clarified that it did not participate.
Sources report that the Israeli military has initiated attacks on Iran, targeting facilities including power plants. Strikes were launched from multiple directions in the west and southwest, focusing on Iranian military bases and other installations. According to Al Jazeera, Israeli media indicates that a “second round” of attacks against Iran has commenced.
In reported explosions near Tehran, Iranian media noted that operations at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport remain “normal.” At the time of the strike, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was reportedly directing operations from a bunker at the Kirya military base in Tel Aviv, surrounded by Defense Minister Gallant and other military officials.
Iranian officials, speaking anonymously, stated that Supreme Leader Khamenei had instructed the military to prepare several retaliatory plans in response to the Israeli strikes. The scale of Iran’s retaliation will largely depend on the severity of the Israeli attacks. If the strikes result in widespread destruction and casualties, a counter-offensive is likely; however, if the attacks are limited to military bases or storage facilities, Iran may choose not to respond.
Officials from Iran indicated that any assault on their oil, energy infrastructure, or nuclear facilities, including the assassination of senior officials, would prompt retaliation. Potential response measures being considered by Iran include launching thousands of ballistic missiles at Israel, escalating attacks through allied regional groups, and disrupting local shipping in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
Following Iran’s large-scale ballistic missile attacks on Israel on October 1, Israel has repeatedly pledged to retaliate. The Prime Minister’s office stated they would heed U.S. advice while prioritizing national interests in their final decisions.
Furthermore, recent reports from CNN suggest that U.S. officials have cautioned Israel against escalating the conflict, specifically in terms of the nature and location of attacks, to avoid global economic disruptions. President Biden and his national security advisors have continuously stated their lack of support for strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities or oil reserves.
Despite predictions that other oil producers could easily offset Iran’s production of approximately one million barrels per day, U.S. officials remain concerned about market interpretations of such disruptions and the potential for surging global energy prices, especially as U.S. voters head into the 2024 elections.
