The first of its kind in the Bay Area… Warrior Chase Center is building a 30,000-square-foot bar and could open as soon as early next year.

This week, the Golden State Warriors announced the upcoming opening of “Splash,” a 30,000-square-foot sports bar located in Thrive City, the vibrant plaza surrounding their home arena, the Chase Center. Set to launch in early 2025, this venue promises to elevate the game-watching experience for fans through cutting-edge technology and a vibrant atmosphere. Splash will be operated by Sidecar Hospitality, co-founded by prominent Asian entrepreneur Andrew Chun.

As the first of its kind in the Bay Area, Splash will span two levels and feature four bars, an upscale dining area, and over 75 televisions, including an expansive 840-square-foot curved LED screen. There will be a range of indoor and outdoor spaces designed for optimal viewing.

Chase Center representatives shared that the bar will boast not only the impressive LED wall but also the latest audiovisual technology. A unique video ticker will wrap around the 20,000-square-foot indoor area, displaying live sports scores and breaking news. Every seat, whether inside or outside, will have a perfect view of the screens. The sound system will be centralized around a DJ booth, offering guests an immersive gameday audio experience.

In addition to its indoor features, Splash will include a 10,000-square-foot outdoor space equipped with a pet-friendly patio, an outdoor bar, and large televisions. Guests will have the chance to engage in various games throughout the venue, including golf swing sets, pinball, billiards, cornhole, and foosball. There will also be multiple distinctive areas available for hosting private events of various sizes.

The cocktail menu at Splash will be curated by Kevin Diedrich, the owner and operator of Pacific Cocktail Haven, which was nominated for the prestigious 2024 James Beard Award for “Outstanding Bar.”

Furthermore, the bar will feature an extensive selection of beers, including 16 unique taps, as well as a curated list of natural and biodynamic wines, heavily focused on California offerings.

Sidecar Hospitality, co-founded by Andrew Chun and Jan Wiginton, is known for managing some of San Francisco’s most iconic bars and restaurants. In 2008, they opened Press Club, an acclaimed 9,000-square-foot wine lounge and event space. Building on their success, the company later acquired and refurbished Schroeder’s, a historic German beer hall dating back 130 years. In 2016, they partnered with Diedrich to launch two cocktail bars, Pacific Cocktail Haven and Kona’s.
