In a shocking case that has garnered widespread attention, several children in Riverside County, Southern California, were subjected to severe abuse at the hands of their biological parents, only to face further torment in their foster home. Reports indicate that these children endured horrific treatment, including sexual abuse, being struck in the face with sandals, having their hair pulled, and being forced to eat their own vomit.
On October 18, 65-year-old Marcelino Olguin was sentenced to seven years in prison after being found guilty of committing lewd acts against children, unlawful detention, and child endangerment. This sentencing took place at a Riverside courtroom, where Olguin admitted to his crimes. His wife, Rosa Olguin, along with their adult daughter, Lennys Olguin, pleaded guilty to child abuse and received four years of probation.
The allegations against this foster family involve nine victimized children, including siblings from the notorious Turpin family. In 2019, the Turpin parents, David and Louise, were arrested for horrifically abusing their 13 children. Their actions included shackling their children, depriving them of food, and providing minimal education. The couple ultimately received life sentences, with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
According to reports, the ages of the 13 Turpin children ranged from 2 to 29. It was 17-year-old Jordan Turpin who bravely escaped their home and called 911, leading authorities to rescue the children. Following their rescue, six of the youngest siblings were placed in the Olguin household, where they tragically faced yet another round of abuse.
