Philadelphia Far East Lawyers Group and Philadelphia entrepreneurs raise funds for Pennsylvania Congressman Bryan’s campaign
At a fundraising event held on October 11, a group of business leaders gathered at Duck House Seafood Restaurant in Chinatown to support Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick ahead of the upcoming elections in November. The event was organized by Far East Law Group to enhance collaboration between the Chinese community and mainstream American society.
Lin Jianhe, president of Far East Law Group, expressed his appreciation for Congressman Fitzpatrick’s presence, noting that his visit was not only about his campaign for re-election but also about contributing to the development of the Asian community. He thanked Fitzpatrick for attending the event and congratulated him on his past accomplishments. Lin urged the entrepreneurs and community members present to continue their support for Fitzpatrick’s campaign and emphasized the hope to further foster cooperation and interaction between the Chinese community and American society through this meeting.
Congressman Fitzpatrick then took the floor, expressing gratitude for the invitation and introducing himself. He highlighted that America is a nation of immigrants, where everyone has a stake in the community—he himself being a third-generation Irish immigrant. Representing areas such as Northeast Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Montgomery County, he serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, working to coordinate relations among the various ethnic groups in the United States. He appreciated the generous support he received from Lin Jianhe and the community during his primary elections.
Fitzpatrick recalled a previous visit with community leaders to Washington, D.C., where they toured the Capitol and met his colleagues representing different states, learning about the state of affairs and the federal legislative system. He extended an invitation to the attendees to visit the White House, emphasizing that both the White House and the Capitol are places for the people, served by public servants. He expressed his commitment to continue serving the citizens of Pennsylvania after his re-election.
Attendees were enthusiastic about contributing, and a group photo was taken to commemorate the event. Among the Philadelphia entrepreneurs and organizations present were Far East Law Group, K-POT Hot Pot Group, Taihu Seafood Restaurant, Huang Bin Construction Company, Jiudingxuan Hot Pot City, New Century Bus Company, Chinese American Citizens Alliance, and Xié Shèng Association.
