The cultural landscape is more vibrant than ever. Through unwavering perseverance and self-reliance, the accomplishments of the Chinese people have garnered global admiration.
As we enter a new era, China continues to evolve, confidently moving toward national prosperity and rejuvenation.
Artists play a vital role in reflecting the spirit of their times. Since the establishment of the new China, a plethora of artistic works that resonate with the state’s fortunes and mirror social life have emerged, much like mushrooms sprouting after a rain. Some notable examples include:
– “The Founding Ceremony,” which captures the solemn moment of the birth of the new China, highlighting the moment when the people truly stood tall.
– “The First Time in a Lifetime,” documenting the monumental first nationwide elections, showcasing the excitement of citizens as they received their ballots.
– “Canton Fair,” illustrating the grandeur of China’s inaugural Export Commodities Fair held in Guangzhou.
– “Conquering Everest,” narrating the achievements of China’s mountaineering team in their historic ascent of Mount Everest.
– “Celebrating Our Atomic Bomb’s Success,” commemorating the successful testing of China’s first independently developed atomic bomb.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the new China, Southern Network, in collaboration with the Gao Jianfu Memorial Hall, has thoughtfully selected 75 representative artworks from the rich tapestry of art created since the inception of the new China. These artworks uniquely depict the profound changes and dynamic vitality experienced by the nation over these 75 years, allowing everyone to reflect on and celebrate the remarkable journey of China’s development.
Who were the visionaries behind this initiative? The overall planning was spearheaded by Jin Qiang and Zhang Chunqing, with coordination from Wang Ping and Zhou Cun. The design was crafted by Wu Junli and Sun Dewei, while the editing was expertly handled by Zhu Qilin and Guo Haoqi.
