A fire broke out in the workshop of a company in Wendeng, Shandong Province. Loud noises and thick smoke were heard from the scene.

On the evening of October 24, the Weihai Municipal Emergency Management Bureau reported an incident in the Wendeng Economic Development Zone. At approximately 4:10 PM, a fire broke out in the automated workshop of Shandong Gengyuan New Materials Co., Ltd.

According to the statement, the fire has since been extinguished, and fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Furthermore, no toxic gases were detected at the scene. Investigations into the cause of the fire and follow-up actions are currently underway.

Witnesses described the scene, stating, “The windows shook, and there was a loud noise.” They recounted hearing a huge bang followed by thick, billowing smoke.
