A conference on new productivity empowering the high-quality development of public hospitals was held in Tianjin
On October 20th, a conference focusing on empowering public hospitals for high-quality development through innovative productive forces was held in Tianjin. Nearly 3,000 attendees gathered, including experts and scholars from both domestic and international medical fields, leaders from universities, hospitals, and various associations, as well as prominent individuals from different sectors. They came together to share new ideas, initiatives, and achievements related to high-quality hospital development in this new era, aiming to collaboratively advance the quality of public healthcare.
During the opening ceremony, Chinese Academy of Engineering academician and renowned traditional Chinese medicine expert, Zhang Boli, emphasized the significant opportunities for the development of traditional Chinese medicine. He highlighted that the deep integration of innovative productive forces with traditional Chinese medicine will be an essential trend for future development. His vision includes establishing a high-quality health development model that balances traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, promoting a healthcare community that benefits all people worldwide.
Stefano, President of the Italian Chinese Medicine Research Association, reflected on his 35-year journey of learning acupuncture in China since 1989. He expressed his ongoing fascination with the profound culture of traditional Chinese medicine and pledged to continue spreading this traditional knowledge in Italy and beyond, aided by the support of Chinese medicine veterans.
As part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Affiliated Hospital, Party Secretary Zhang Yanjun shared insights into the hospital’s development over the past seven decades. He remarked, “Using medicine as a medium to engage with the world and promoting traditional Chinese medicine’s global presence has always been a vivid practice for our hospital.” Looking ahead, he emphasized the institution’s commitment to becoming a national medical center while advancing the heritage and innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine.
At the conference, experts from various regions delivered high-quality development reports from perspectives such as “development of traditional Chinese medicine hospitals” and “disciplinary construction.” They honored esteemed national figures in traditional medicine, including Academicians Shi Xue Min and Zhang Boli, and announced the release of the publication “Jin Gu Ming Yi Lin Cheng Shi Cui,” as well as a research project on the integration of artificial intelligence in traditional Chinese medical practices named “Jin Kui Cheng Chuang – The Great Model of Ancient and Modern Renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatments.”
The event was hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and included ten academic sub-forums. This format provided a rich source of knowledge and strategic guidance for hospital managers and practitioners through keynote speeches and roundtable discussions.
