An attack occurred near Beirut International Airport in Lebanon, and the flight was forced to divert and land.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the Israeli military conducted 13 airstrikes on multiple locations in the southern suburbs of Beirut on the night of the 21st. One of the targeted sites was a fishing port near Beirut International Airport, which resulted in the temporary closure of the airport’s main runway. A Middle East Airlines passenger flight was forced to divert to a backup runway for landing.

On the same night, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reported that the Israeli airstrikes in the southern area of Beirut had left four people dead and 24 injured.

Earlier, a correspondent reported from Lebanon that the Jnah area in southern Beirut was hit by Israeli airstrikes, with one of the targeted locations being close to the Rafik Hariri Public Hospital.

Shortly before these events, an Israeli military spokesperson issued multiple evacuation orders, urging residents in specific areas of southern Beirut to evacuate promptly.
