From October 22 to 24, President Xi Jinping attended the 16th BRICS Leaders’ Meeting in Kazan, Russia.

During this three-day event, both old and new friends gathered in Kazan, participating in a packed agenda of bilateral and multilateral discussions. President Xi took part in the BRICS Leaders’ Meeting and the “BRICS Plus” dialogue, where he proposed five key suggestions for building a “Peaceful BRICS,” “Innovative BRICS,” “Green BRICS,” “Fair BRICS,” and “Cultural BRICS.” His remarks profoundly articulated China’s commitment to enhancing unity and cooperation among the Global South.

He emphasized, “As a leading member of the Global South, we must showcase our collective wisdom and strength to take responsibility for building a community with a shared future for humanity.”

At this new starting point, China aims to work alongside other BRICS nations to create a new phase of high-quality development in “Big BRICS cooperation,” contributing significantly to the establishment of a community with a shared future for humanity.
