28 teams and more than 130 athletes compete for the 2024 Electric Surfboard Championships
According to the event organizers, the 2024 National Electric Surfboard Championship is set to take place from October 14 to 17 in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, attracting 28 teams and over 130 athletes from across the country.
The competition features both adult and youth categories, comprising 16 events including men’s and women’s electric surfboard circuit racing, obstacle slalom races, team circuit racing, and team obstacle slalom races. The National Electric Surfboard Championship is recognized as the premier and most influential electric surfboard event in the country, serving an important role in talent identification, enhancing development, and testing training levels.
This championship not only showcases top electric surfboard athletes but also offers an exciting experience for water sports enthusiasts. Organizers have spent years developing the event, which now emphasizes content delivery, brand impact, and commercial value, significantly enhancing its overall prestige and recognition.
The inaugural National Electric Surfboard Championship took place in 2019 at the largest urban wetland park in Jinhua, Lake Haitang Park. After five years, the championship returns to this venue, reflecting continuous efforts by the General Administration of Sport of China and local authorities. Their commitment to exploring and expanding the industry has gradually elevated the brand value of the championship, contributing positively to the promotion and development of electric surfboard sports in China.
The event is organized by the General Administration of Sport of China’s Water Sports Management Center and jointly hosted by the Jinhua Sports Bureau and the Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, with Wind Direction (Beijing) International Sports Industry Co., Ltd. as the executing agency.
